About the trans leg compared to the blue one..
Well since we got the leggings for the priest.. isnt it a good thing? They dont need to buy any gems to socket or spend time trying to get some gear that is on par.. gives us more time to lvl up.

TBH i wouldnt worry about my gears being wasted.

BTW- if you notice in the screen shot:
http://www.wowbananas.com/betashots/honorhold_rewards.jpg

I was already honored when I posted that. Getting Honored wasn't too hard. I'm probably about 1/5 into honored. So revered is not that far off.

Not sure if Blizz bumped up the exp and rept values you gained just to get people leveling faster.

Also correction on those common green gems that I linked. They're "uncommon" and requires a jewel crafter to make those that I had showed you. The vendor that is selling it is just a "temporary test vendor". What this means is that vendor won't be there, and the gems you will need to obtain via AH or a crafter. Considering this is the test server transfer, I highly doubt anybody is going to be a 300 Jewel crafter any time soon. At least not for a while, because it requires getting lowbie gems. Which there are none on the AH- which means they'll need to do alot of mining and other crap from lowbie zones and instances.

For those who are 300 enchanters, you'll probably start making money in the expansion by offering your Disenchanting services... Since lowbie alts can't DE items anymore, the upper end green items that you get can now be DEed by high end enchanters. charge some fee or something for DEing.

This will probably mean the prices of shards/dusts going up over time, since people will need them to level enchanting if they do want to be a disenchanter. And most likely the enchanters will make the most money because they are the ones that can DE and offer the mats on the AH.

Observation from playing on the test server in outlands....

As you zone through the portal, you'll be in the outlands Hellfire Pennisula. This zone is very similar to Thousand Needles, STV, and Arathi Highlands. Alot of the quests are shared between hordes and alliances. There are alot of mirrored quests just different NPC names.

What really sucks is that some of the queset spots have a slow respawn rate. Remember killing Goldtooth? Uhmm yeah... nuf said....

I know I was kind of annoyed trying to find and kill these Shattered Hand Acolytes. Had to kill 5, and they only respawn at 3 or 4 locations. 1 at each spot, but they're always dead or camped. Running back and forth was not worth the trouble. And the respawn rate was really bad. Argh.

You're gonna run into hordes for sure... And if you're not well geared and they see that, they're going to jump you. The hordes that aren't geared mostly left me alone and they're doing their thing killing crap. The hordes that jump me are the ones with T3 and AQ40 stuff, I've noticed.

I've gotten 2 shotted by warlocks... WTF? locks are very overpowered in the expansion... and druids in catform... got 3 shotted by them. Now normally I can hold my own weight- but this sucked!

Also- I definitely would not like to be doing PUG runs on these dungeons. If you don't have the right crew, its a waste of time. Reforming, etc.

The LFG button is buggy. Hope they fix that.

Make friends now with warriors and healers... Alot of groups were looking for a tank.

Since people will be flooding into the Portal on release day, I think you can probably kiss leveling by doing outdoor quests good bye. Competing against alliance and against horde and running through PVP zones is going to be a huge challenge if not annoying. Your best bet is doing the instances, and move on to the next map as quickly as possible.

There is going to be heavy PVP by the 3 towers in this zone because people will want their Mark of Honor Hold tokens so they can buy the rewards and gems to socket their items. I got ganked many times going near one of those towers by a pack of 5-6 hordes.

We're going to need to quest together as a group.

Every zone/map has a different PVP objective... They're kind of interesting in designs. And each zone will have their own "tokens" which you can use to get rewards for.

Stock up on Runecloths about 5-6 stacks of 20pieces, if you want to level your first aid skill. You won't find many runeclothes in the outlands. Mostly neatherweave cloth. Which will be needed for the next bandage type. 5-6 stacks should get you high nuf to learn neatherweave cloth bandages... 330 skill to read the book off the vendor.

Stock up on raw fishes or whatever cooking mats needed to level your cooking skill. Get all these things ready if you want to level your profession skills fast.

16 slot bags can be made easily in the expansion with netherweave cloth (which is very common). You'll be able to learn this from the tailoring trainer. Netherweave nets are really cool.

Anyways, just my observations....

Not sure yet. I still have 3 alts char copy/transfer option so I want to do some research first to figure out what items to load up my alts with for the copy.

Oh- and they tweaked those priests spells/talent.

They got rid of some of the shadow stuff replacing it with something else..

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/bc-priest/talents.html

They used to have some sort of 'flash heal' like talent in shadow form for the shadow treee, but its gone. Replaced with vampric touch. And the summon 3 shades to fight spell has been replaced with summon 1 shadowfiend.

Got Flash Heal rank 8 at level 61.
Smite rank 9 at level 61.

It also auto updates your highest rank spell on the action bar for you. so you don't have to drag it from the book. Not sure if this is new to the expansion or something in our existing live server. Was nice to just learn it and it updated the bar for you.

Reporting to you live from the CLOSED BETA test server.

I just decided to fly to Tanaris to check out the Cavern of Time.

Looks like nobody is here. And nobody thought to check it out I suppose.

The elite dragons outside are gone. That quest giver for the Brood of Nozdormu is not there. He's probably moved somewhere else. Maybe deeper in the cavern.

There is a new faction called Keepers of Time. You start off as Neutral.

Going deeper into the cavern now.....

Edit:

Looks like its a huge city inside the cavern. Its pretty deep, all the NPCs are neutral. Not sure how they're gonna try to have alliance and horde go into this tunnel. Surely you'll get ganked as you go through the tunnel, since the guards are not around until you reach the center. Everything's level 70 here. I think the new BGs aren't open yet, or open to level 70 only. Since I'm not 70, I don't know. There is an instance portal here, and zoning into it. It says Instance not available yet. So this must be the level 70 instance.

Its huge instance the cavern. And you can't mount. A very long walk!

There are quest givers here, but its all "!" gray... so I think they require level 70 to do...

Tried to go to another instance here inside the cavern and it also says Not available.

Still not sure how they're going to squeeze hordes and alliance into this cavern. I don't see enough guards around.

It does remind me of Blackrock Spire. So going inside is like going through Blackrock.... prepare for alot of ganking.

hey morluck you should compile a leveling guide for us so when BC comes out we know where to go first for most efficient leveling. also we should schedule instance runs when bc comes out on off raid days so we arent stuck in LFG channel waiting and can clear instances faster. with a turnout of about 55 people on raid nights im sure at least 30 people will get the expac within the first few weeks therefore we can get like 6 grps goind with a pool of 30 or so.

good suggestion thorb. I thought about that too... possibly one of our raid nights we can just do a expansion leveling group. or probably just do this every night and not do those zg/aq20 stuff.....

probably just keep naxx. not sure about aq40 (depends on if we down cthun). or skip naxx for a week to get people to level past the first 61-65 hump. its gonna be really hard after 65 to level.
