its a good thing actually.... gives us time to work on naxxramas, an instance we havent seen half of yet.

I did tell you guys my prediction was Xmas at the best, or sometimes after the year was over. Smile

I've been on beta... the rumors about how quickly you will be replacing your gears or the gears are easily obtainable. Its not accurate. Whatever gears you obtain in raids, will really help you through and it will not be replaced that fast. If a blue staff that is same level as shadowflame can be obtained at level 65. That means that blue staff will last beyond 65 til 70 probably. Which means your staff of flame at level 60 is lasting you til 70. You have an edge.

I really have not replaced any of my gears that I got in our raids. I am using BLUE healing rings/necklaces whatever because I have been passing them in our raid. HAD I gotten the necklaces and rings from our raids, I'll tell you this much... my gears from our raid will last me through 65... maybe more if I get more Naxx loot.

Also- the BETA is a free access through the dark portal. Blizzard has not announced what the world event or the requirements for going through the dark portal yet. (Possibly an attunement).

One guy speculated that all T3 is required. lol. I dont know about that. That's a bit of a stretch.

I'm speculating and others have too, that Naxx will be required to get through the dark portal. Possibly a world event quest, with a guild that can clear Naxx to open it (similar to AQ40). Or an attunement that requires at least downing the bosses of the various end content instance to get through the portal. Touch some orb or something (like BWL attunement, u must clear UBRS to get to it).

So we will continue to raid Naxx as usual.

One last note...

They WILL do a content patch before the expansion. They HAVE TO, logically to integrate the non-expansion people with the expansion people.

People without expansion has to be able to see what expansion people see on our side of the world. The dark portal will be the restriction for people who don't have expansion.

You'll probably see new content but you won't be able to 'use them or activate them. But it's still going to be considered a content patch regardless.

Edit: PVP is going to be changed. So the honor system revamp etc, will be considered your content patch. Smile

There will probably be some jewel crafting receipe drops, but people won't be able to learn jewel crafting without the expansion. You might be able to visit the new alliance race's cities, but most likely you wont be able to do any quests without the expansion.

Interface changes and improvements for Enchantment is going to be part of that patch as well. You'll probably get to play in PVP arena skirmish mode as well- but You wont be able to earn Arena Honor points or create real teams or access rewards until level 70. (Forgot to mention it is finished yet nor available for testing on BETA. LOL.)

I think there is going to be a content patch, based on Eyonix's post, which was posted this morning. Eyonix knows what he's talking about, and the WoW-Europe blue probably didn't know there was a content patch in the works.
