sorry i didnt exlpain that abit better
the only reason i didnt take it on my mage is i wasn't sure i could get +30 spell damage put on it in beta.

actually nvm... water elemental's kinda bugged... spell power is way to go arc/frost with ap/trinket it's 6k frostbolt... 3min mages are back!!! |

Another nice change for Enchanters....
Looks like you only need 1 Enchanting Rod. So if it requires Runed Cooper Rod, and you have Runed Truesilver, you no longer need the cooper. Whichever the highest rod you have will be considered okay for the lower level ones.... less bag space now for enchanters...
They changed the creation of the Rods now, so if you make the higher level one, it consumes the one below it, as part of the receipe.
NOW... not sure if this is considered a bug or feature... but hell... i'm not reporting it.... cuz apparently you can enchant stuff with your rod in the bank. So u dont have to carry the rod around with you anymore- so long as its in the bank. |

arc/frost is really fun but they somehow nerfed crit rates against elite mobs (but big crits more than makes up for small crit chance). Anyways I'm gonna try fire tree now.
From what I gathered,
Arcane tree:
- spell power is uber (I think it's bugged atm... calculation doesn't make sense I shouldn't be able to do 6k crit at lvl60)
- slow is pretty useful when you're soloing. since it's instant cast you can kite one mob while you sheep one and kill one. it also works against bosses (at least so far anyways). it does not stack with chill effect from frostbolt (it just cancels chill effect... but frostbolt does not cancel slow). slow cast and ranged attack time is nice too.
- empowered arcane missile is not terribly bad. I was criting 700 per missile.
- I didn't really notice critting that much while I was in clearcasting state with arcane potency.
Frost Tree:
- summon water elemental - total waste right now... it's kinda bugged and it's slow. I saw it cast like twice before it disappeared... its frostbolt hits for like 500-600. it also has frost nova which is kinda nice. 3 min CD and for 45 sec of little damage and lots of mana hmmm
Fire Tree:
- Blazing Speed - useful when it procs for sure... short time that I was fire, it proc'ed twice. I heard tho it does not cancel dazed.
- Dragon Breath - nice to use it and get away. it shares CD with CoC tho. if you think about it tho... fire mages get 5 instant get away spells, frost nova, CoC, blink, dragon's breath and blastwave.
- Molten fury - I didn't get it and haven't tried it yet... DS says it's a waste. |

it's an uber raiding skill where mobs still have 100k life @ 20% but currently if i a guy is at 20% i dont see how doing 300 or so extra damage when the guy is already at 1k life is going to help.
